This township includes part of the Lauderdale Wildlife Management Area. The town of Waterloo is in the northeastern corner. The Tennessee River cuts across the north half of the township. The township continues across the Tennessee River in Colbert County, Alabama and also in Tishomingo County, Mississippi.
