I found this photo in My gggrandfather's bible. My gggrandfather was Drury Minton King. His wife was Matille Francis Joiner. The photo has the edges trimmed and has been sewn into something. A photo of Drury Minton King has been similarly treated. This could be anyone. I scanned both sides, hoping it would help.

This photo was in my mother's collection. My grandfather, William Floyd Scott, had two brothers, Heslup and Ernest. Both of them died in the early 1900's. One family member thinks this is a picture of both brothers; another told me the second person was a friend; I think the one on the left is one of the two brothers, but I am not sure of the identity of the other person. The Scott family lived in Lauderdale County around the Gravelly Springs area.

The back of this picture contains some barely legible writing. As best as I can tell it says "Woodland, Alabama; March 15, 1914; Mr. Young and William." The person on the right is possibly my Grandfather, William Floyd Scott, who was born in Lauderdale County in 1884. Two of his sisters married brothers with the surname Young. The person on the left is possibly one of those brothers.

I haven't the slightest idea who these ladies are, but they are from Lauderdale County. A cousin said one of them looks like our school teacher in the second or third grade. We went to school in a church, Hickory Flat Baptist Church. It was a few miles south of Lexington, on the road to Florence, I think the road is highway 71. Thank you.

This photo belonged to my grandparents James Ray Butler b.1909 and Bithey Long Butler b 1914. This is the original frame. The date of the frame could help us learn who it is or at least narrow it down if anyone know about frames. This is a very large photo, so I feel
like it is a picture of a direct line. Our family thinks that it is connected
to our Butler line. If it is the Butler side possible people would include:
Lewis Butler and Malinda C Wilson Butler Darius W Butler and Mary Hall Butler Henry Butler and Leathy Wilkerson.

Although this picture is labeled as John Bethel Chandler,
some doubt has arisen as to whether it is him or his father.
Can anyone definitely identify this person?

I have shown the photo of this couple to all of my relatives in the 80-90 year age range. None of them have seen the picture. The photo of the couple is one of the old charcoal enhanced photos from probably the 1880s or 90s. The portrait was given to me by my Aunt Dessie White, the daughter of Allison and Ada Delaine Grisham White. I hope that someone in the White, Grisham, Whitehead, Thornton families may have seen the photo or have a copy and will be able to identify these people.

Do you know any of these people? Believed to be Scotts. Man may be J. Richard P. Scott or his son, Thomas T. Scott, longtime resident of Mitchelltown area who died in 1953.
