Curious to know if anyone out there has any information on a Jackson family in Florence, Ala. in 1837. My great-great-grandmother Vashti (or possibly Vashty) Jackson was born there in 1837. I have not seen any census records from this area and do not have access to any birth records from that time. I know nothing about her parents. I know she had at least two sisters, but possibly more siblings. Not sure how long they lived in Florence. All three moved to Nashville, Tenn. at some point and Vashti eventually moved to Decatur, Ill. where she died in 1916.
I would be thrilled if anyone could provide any additional information.
