Emezeal/Amzi M. MADISON, born between 1806-1815 in either Alabama or Tennessee. Death unknown. Married Nancy STEPP who was born 1819 in Alabama. Death also unknown. These were their children:

James W. MADISON, born 1837 in Lauderdale, AL. Died about 1870 location unknown. Married Eliza Malissa BRASSEALE/GRAVES in Lawrence, Tennessee. He was a Confederate soldier who was sent to Rock Island, IL POW camp.

Lucy/Lucey MADISON, born 1840 in Lauderdale, AL. Death unknown. Possibly married Phillip SMITH Jr. in Lawrence, AL.

Pleasant MADISON, born 1848 in Tennessee. Marriage and death unkown. Was arrested for horse theft in 1869 in Giles, Tennessee and sent to prison for ten years.

Locations where I have them documented living: Lauderdale, Alabama. Giles, Tennessee. Lawrence, Tennessee.

This family lived in the Giles, Tennessee poorhouse for years, as listed on the census. I would love to know more about them as they are my direct ancestors.
